How to import Japanese cars

by: Joshua Bedor

If you have ever tried to find a specific Japanese import car to buy, then
you know how time consuming and frustrating it can be. Even if you
manage to find the model you want, the seller most likely wants a
ridiculous amount for it. The reason for that is they know how hard the
car can be to find and they probably paid too much for it themselves.

If you look at what these cars sell for at auctions in Japan, you'll be
amazed. The reason they can sell them for so little is simple. If they sell
them in Japan there is no export tax, over seas shipping, less paper work,
and less middle men taking a cut. All of these factors severely inflate the
price when you buy one in your country.

What if you could import Japanese cars yourself? YOU CAN! Imagine the
huge savings buying from the Japanese auctions, private sellers, and
dealerships in Japan. Huge savings isn't the only reason to do this. Think
about the selection you would have to choose from. There are cars there
you can't find anywhere else.

Once you learn the regulations and where to look, importing a Japanese
car is easy. Taking the time to import them yourself cuts out some of the
middle men, saving you even more money. Imagine finding the exact
Japanese car you want for less than you ever thought possible or selling
them for a nice profit. To learn all the details and regulations on how this
process works, I suggest picking up a professional guide to reference.
